📅 Your Compliance Timeline
Q1 2026: The Peppol Enforcement Cliff
- Deadline: March 31, 2026.

Q2 2026: The NIS2 Supply Chain Guardrail
- Deadline: April 18, 2026.

2026 (Active Now): The HR Absence Management Shield
- Deadline: Effective January 1, 2026.
- The Mandate: All Belgian employers must include a formal “Keeping in Touch” procedure for sick employees in their internal Work Regulations.
- The Risk: Level 2 social sanctions (up to 4.000 € per violation) and legal inadmissibility in labor court disputes.

Jan 1, 2027: The Working Time Registration Mandate
- Deadline: January 1, 2027.
- The Mandate: Every employer must have an “objective, reliable, and accessible” system to record the daily working hours of every employee.
- The Risk: In the absence of records, the burden of proof shifts to the employer in overtime disputes, exposing you to massive back-pay claims.
